About
Star Fox 64 was released in the United States in June 30th 1997. Me, as a 9 year old Super Mario and Yoshi's Story fan in 1997, kinda knew its existence cuz that Star Fox 64 cover would always stared back at me in rental stores or behind a glass shelf at WalMart or Target, but I think I wasn't interested in Star Fox at the time. When the first Super Smash Bros game came out in the United States on April 26, 1999, the 11 year old me, was re-introduced to Fox once again as he was a player character in that game. Again, I did not think much of him and only play as him once...I think...

Jump into the Nintendo Gamecube era where I spotted Star Fox Adventures and Assault cover behind the glass shelf, but once again I was still into Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Old, Super Smash Bros: Melee and Super Mario Sunshine. Speaking of Super Smash Bros: Melee, Fox was once again there in the game and this time, Falco was also in Melee. I fool around on Melee with Fox and Falco as if those characters were trying to tell me to play their damn game. I'm not sure if I read the Star Fox lore in the trophies or not in Melee...
At the start of the Nintendo Wii era, Super Smash Bros: Brawl was the HUGE thing for me because I get to see Fox and Falco cutscenes in the adventure mode.Again, I did not think of the Star Fox games. Now, in this year of 2026, Star Fox 2026 was announced for Nintendo Switch 2 and I have no idea the original Star Fox (1993), Star Fox 2 and Star Fox 64 were in Nintendo Switch Online! I have a Switch online membership for FIVE YEARS and I never KNEW that I finally have the chance to play the Star Fox games on my Switch the entire time?! So, I played the games and...I suck at playing the darn games...maybe it is because I am playing with the Switch controls and do not have a Nintendo 64 and Super Nintendo controllers.
So, I was like freak it! Thanks Youtube and Twitch for the walkthroughs and livesteaming of the Star Fox games, I get to watch people play the games for me while I waited for the release of the remake~ Fun fact: on 4AM in the morning of June 24th in my timezone, I was about to crash in, then I got a notifications from Youtube that someone would be live streaming the full game of Star Fox 2026 and I was like WHAT?!!! Screw sleep! Going to watch the livestream (It was already the 25th in the person's timezone lol)
And now, I've became a Star Fox for real! I regret NOT playing the games when it first came out during the 64 and Gamecube era. Heck, I did not even know Star Fox: Command existed in Nintendo DS and Star Fox 64 3DS in Nintendo 3DS until years later. HELL! I did NOT even know Star Fox Zero came out in the Nintendo Wii U in 10 years ago! It all thanks to the Star Fox 2026 remake that I finally see why Star Fox as a series is so cool to the Nintendo gamers.
Okay, that's my story about how I was familiar with Star Fox and became a fan of the series. XD
As Fox McCloud himself says, Let's Rock and Roll!
